Donald Trump has just completed a disastrous tour of Europe, during which he publicly criticized Britain and Germany and, in Putin’s presence, rejected the findings of American law enforcement and intelligence on Russian electoral interference. John McCain called Trump’s meeting with Putin “one of the most disgraceful performances by an American president in memory," and other top Congressional Republicans publicly criticized Trump’s meeting as weakening American allies and emboldening its adversaries.
